Wrapping up "book study" Chapter 26: Every Singing Creature

Did you wake up the morning after celebrating Easter Resurrection with "buyer's remorse"? You know how you believe and buy the ad of the latest tech, new drug, upcoming leader, best entertainment (fill in the blank) promoting the cure for your life, the promise of health and well being, restoration of the world, etc...and then comes the next morning of doubts into whatever we've bought into.

Certainly, it seemed the followers of Jesus had "buyers remorse" after the Resurrection. Stories show they were fearful, anxious, disbelieving, guilty, shamed, sorrowful, living behind closed doors with unchanged lifestyles and uncertain futures. Jesus' followers did not even recognize Jesus' appearance in post-Resurrection form.

So perhaps today, more than ever, we need to hear Jesus's post-Resurrection greetings:

Peace - Do Not Fear

Believe

Remember your history

Trust & Love God with and for each other

The Spirit is with you

Hope in a certain future, go live today!

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of our Savior! The service was filled with worship, reflection, and joy as we gathered as a church family. We were especially blessed to welcome a new member into COM — what a perfect day to grow our church family!

We had a successful Spring Cleanup Day at COM! 

We tackled flower beds, painted and freshened up the grounds!

We read and discuss the books we have chosen in an informal discussion and look forward to spending time and sharing our faith with one another. We pray as an introduction to our study—and we close with prayer.

Our group are also members of the Prayer Net and welcome requests that come to us through the larger church body.
