Conversations About Faith
Can hope endure in times of uncertainty, anxiety, and fear?
Is joy and faith merely a "fairy tale response" to the reality of evil, sorrow, and despair?
Can peace be found in a world marked by chaos, war, and division? Where is the God of love and grace in these present times? These are deep and pressing questions, and we invite you to explore them together with Hanna Bear as our facilitator. On 3/16 we began a five-week faith conversation in the fellowship hall after the service (for about 45 minutes), using insights from Barbara Brown Taylor’s book, Always a Guest. Taylor, an Episcopal priest, professor, and theologian, shares reflections that help us wrestle with these questions and find meaning in our faith journey. You’re welcome to join us, whether you've read the book or not. If you’d like to read along, Always a Guest is available on Amazon in print or Kindle. Even if "book studies" aren’t your thing, we hope you’ll come for the conversation, the listening, and the shared encouragement. All are welcome. Email COM with any questions! Comumctruckee@gmail.com
