Festive Sounds Fill the Air as Truckee High Jazz Combo Performs Holiday Music
This past Sunday, the Truckee High School Jazz Combo took the stage at the Church of the Mountains to perform some festive holiday tunes. The talented group of students played a few classic Christmas songs with a jazzy twist, spreading holiday cheer to everyone in the audience. It was a cozy, feel-good event with the combo’s upbeat performance filling the church with warmth and music, making it a special afternoon of holiday spirit. It was a great way to kick off the season and see the students’ musical talents shine. |

COM Supports New Rotaract ClubChurch of the Mountains is donating meeting space for a new Rotaract Club that is meeting to launch their volunteer club in Truckee. My name is Zoe Meyer (a local reporter for the Sierra Sun) and I am looking for more members to join my Rotaract club here in Truckee (18+-35ish). We actually just held our first meeting before Thanksgiving with about 7 people - great success! Joining a Rotaract Club offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of a dynamic group of young professionals dedicated to personal growth, service, and community impact. If you're looking to enhance your leadership abilities, build valuable professional connections, and give back to your community, Rotaract provides an ideal platform. As part of this international network, you'll have access to mentorship opportunities and the chance to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a difference.
What's more exciting is that this Rotaract club will be built from the ground up in partnership with the Truckee Rotary Club, giving you the chance to shape its future. You'll have the flexibility to create the club's culture and structure, making it a true reflection of the community's values and energy. If you or someone you know are interested, please text me (Zoe) at 480-688-7545. |
