Vicki received a B.A. in Music at California State University, Sacramento, and a B.S. in Ministerial Studies from Trinity School of the Bible. After graduating from Bible College in 1985, she spent a summer as the leader of a Teen Challenge Outreach working with youth on the Cocopah Indian reservation in Yuma, Arizona. She was a licensed minister in California with the Assemblies of God and worked on staff at an A/G church for seven years. She served as a music director in several churches, including a Lutheran church in Sacramento. Her husband, a civilian working for the Air Force, was transferred to Dayton, Ohio, where she took classes at United Theological Seminary (a United Methodist Seminary). She served as the Academic Dean of Dayton Bible College in Ohio and taught at three colleges and a university.
In 2001 Vicki graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA with a Master of Arts in Theology and Biblical Studies. In 2014, she and her husband moved from Dayton, Ohio to Sparks, Nevada, where she currently resides. In addition to being a part-time pastor, she is also an adjunct professor at Lake Tahoe Community College teaching religion in the Incarcerated Student Program. She has been married to her husband Gene for 33 years and has no children.
